The articles and readings which are mine on this site, marked 'DJJ' or 'Uncle Davey', may be copied without editing or linked to, as long as I am credited as author and the same condition is placed on whoever copies it onwards.
If profits are made, a fee at standard commercial rates should be given to a religious-neutral charity, such as the United Way, or (Christians only) to the fund for the updating of the Gdansk version of the Bible in Polish (details available from me). If the use is not for profit, there is no need for any donation, or any fee, but you should as ever cite the source and not distort it.
Where other copyright holders are involved, refer to me and I will put you in contact with them.
I am not liable under Hedley Byrne v Heller or any other similar case in any other system for losses arising on your decisions from opinions on this site. If you make investment decisions or business decisions you should refer to professional advisers in person.
Please note that there are off-site links which are not under my control, so I might not agree with some of the opinions or interpretations of fact given on those links. Guess what? They might not agree with mine either: there's a surprise.
If you're a foreigner living in Poland, you're welcome to join the ::Foreigners living in Poland forum I've set up in Gazeta Wyborcza's portal.
Here you will find Usenetpost.com's joint audio mission with JCSM.org on Sermonaudio.com. For now, most of this is English Language material, but the intention is to gather much more Polish sermons on this broadcast medium, so please look back each month, as it will soon be taking off. You will find at this location in addition to sermons a number of debates by Jason Gastrich, and readings from the Bible, and Christian literature.
. . . . . .
Welcome to this collection of articles, hymns, audio, discussions, images and other items for your viewing and listening pleasure.
Do take some time to look around and explore the nooks and crannies, download
some audio, give feedback on the Discussion Board, or peruse the picture gallery, the - so far only in its opening stages - Polish hymn collection or indeed my own small hymn collection, or just launch into the core of this project, which is the articles, of which there are longer, titled articles (one per page, often illustrated) and now also the new short "Uncle Davey's Fragmentia", which are ten shorter extracts from my extensive Usenet writings per page. These are not sorted or illustrated, just read away,"follow the threads" and enjoy!
New on this update is a page dedicated to Josh and Magda Wests' wedding this Spring. I hope that they and their family will enjoy the photos which can be viewed here.
The Polish material is not a translation of the English material.
If you want to give feedback on any item, or post an article here, then do post it on the bulletin board for this site, which is
kept as free of censorship as possible, as I believe in the right to reply. I might, of course, reply to your reply, which is another matter, but then you can reply to that as well, etc etc...
. .
The site started about the start of 2004 and has been through a few transmogrifications, perestroikas and general
metamorphologisms and no doubt will go through quite a few more before I'm done. It aims to combine a certain humour and writing style with some controversial topics, as well as be like a vehicle for the various kinds of creativity I try to engage in and of course the message which I have for you, the gentle reader.
. .
Most projects are started but ongoing, with new sermons in the audio section, or new hymns or new articles or parts of the picture gallery being added every few weeks so do't forget to check back. Soon I'll finally be starting the long promised
pages of "Recommendations and Unrecommendations" or "good apples" and "rotten apples",
where I intend to be every bit as
outspoken in both my praises and criticisms of products, organisations, etc, as you
will expect if you've read the articles, because I'm only interested in saying
what I
think, which
is what I've always wanted to do, as the picture on the left aptly illustrates - I'm the little one,
by the way, and it's South Shields, County Durham, Late Autumn 1964.
Please also take a tour in the picture gallery which is in progess, featuring a selection of my modest digital photographs. Most of the
pics on the whole site (not all) are by me, by the way, so in the unlikely event they are used, they should be credited, and you might make a kind
donation in the name of this site to one of the various religion-neutral charities which benefit humanity.

It's very gratifying to see the above development in my traffic. Thanks to all my repeat visitors for your loyalty and please keep it up. To see current and up to date 4-day visitor stats excluding the bulletin board and audio files, see here
Have a look at this site by a friend of mine: Andreas Greifenberger. He's a modern-day philosopher in the best German tradition, and one of the
pleasantest people I know.
If you want a copy of the Holy Bible, there are electronic versions available free from the resources on the JCSM Study Centre. Many more fine resources can be found on Vera Six's site Growing Deeper".
To listen to more English language sermons, the best place on the web is www.sermonaudio.com. To find hymns for private or family worship, or which you could even use
at your Church if you don't have people who play instruments, the place I recommend is www.cyberhymnal.org.
To thrash me at games, find me under the member name "Uncle Davey" at www.itsyourturn.com, in my view the best board games place on the net.
To see some of my attempts at video, mainly of a light-hearted nature, click here. But make sure you're sitting comfortably first.
